About Me
Hello, my name is Kevin, and I am currently in the final year of my doctoral program (Ph.D.) at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. My research focuses on photothermal heating in the field of Materials Science & Engineering. I have been interested in this topic ever since I first encountered it during my undergraduate studies when my supervisor assigned me a thesis related to this technology. Since then, I have realized the vast potential of this field, and it has motivated me to continue my research through to the doctoral level.
My Research Journey
My interest in photothermal heating began during my undergraduate studies at the Bandung Institute of Technology. At that time, I was involved in a thesis project focused on this technology, and I quickly saw its potential applications in various industries. During my master’s studies at the University of Tsukuba, I continued my research in the Engineering Sciences subprogram in Applied Physics, with a focus on the same topic. Through this long journey, I have come to understand that research is not just about finding answers but also about exploring new, unanswered questions.
Hobbies and Daily Life
Besides being busy with my research, I also have hobbies that help me maintain a balanced life. I enjoy exploring various new restaurants in Japan, especially trying out both local and international cuisines. Japan is a culinary paradise with endless food options, and I am always excited to try something new. Additionally, swimming is my way to stay fit and clear my mind after long days in the lab.
What You Will Find on This Blog
