A Refreshing Walk After the Master’s Interview at the University of Tsukuba

In this post, I will share my experience after completing the Master’s program interview at the University of Tsukuba. After finishing the written exam, you will be given a schedule for the interview, which will take place either in the morning or in the afternoon (after lunch). Before the interview, it is important to find out the location of the exam room beforehand so that you won’t have trouble finding it the next day. This is crucial because the building names are not always clearly visible. You can check the University of Tsukuba map through the following link: University of Tsukuba Map.

After the interview, I went straight back, but this time I decided to walk to the hotel from the exam building. I made this decision because I had to wait a while for the next bus. I walked slowly while enjoying the beautiful scenery at the University of Tsukuba, which helped refresh my mind after the exam. Walking around this campus feels like being in the middle of a dense forest. Along the way, you’ll pass several academic buildings, supermarkets, and dormitories.

Before reaching Tsukuba Center, I stopped by Matsumi Park. This park is beautiful, with a large lake home to many giant koi fish, as well as numerous pigeons. In the middle of the park, there is a shop that sells fish food at an affordable price, so you can feed the koi in the lake. Perhaps this is one reason why the koi here are much larger than those in other parks around Tsukuba.

After enjoying my time at Matsumi Park, I continued my journey to Tsukuba Center and returned to the hotel to rest.

Conclusion:

The experience after the Master’s program interview can be a time of reflection and personal discovery. Exploring the campus and parks around Tsukuba not only provides an opportunity to relax but also offers joyful moments that can refresh your spirits. By planning your time well and enjoying the beauty of the surrounding environment, you can make this experience more valuable and enjoyable.
